Firstly scientist based the theories of the inner earth on the idea that the gravitational force is constant, both at the surface of the earth and also 4000 deep. And yet when explorers and scientists have demonstrated that the g-force is not constant! From the deep mines of South Africa, or the bottom of the oceans or base of the ice caps, scientist have measured that the g-force increases the further down you go. What is so scary about weaving this into the theory of what makes up the inner earth? Why hold to ideas that have little scientific validation? Surely we would keep breathing and functioning even in the mathematical theories that underpin some of these past understanding need to be uprooted.
