Have you ever thought about how your thinking and beliefs effect your body? Have you ever wondered why some people are always sick and others never seem to get sick? Have you ever noticed that some people seem to be accident prone while others never seem to be? And, have you heard about what seems to be miracles in healing; why some bounce back to health while others don’t?
In reading chapter 4 in the book The Holograph Universe by Michael Talbot, which is about the holographic body, I noticed how the author focused on the use of imagery for healing, the use of placebos and their amazing effects, and the importance our beliefs and thoughts play in our healing or our health. Many scientists have explored the relationship of our thoughts and beliefs as they pertain to our state of wellbeing, our health, and our ability to heal. They have found that using imagery of a healthy body, of it healing, has a tremendous impact on us as human beings. Also, disbelief and the acceptance of a dis-ease, can lead to devasting results.
I grew up hearing my mother saying, “I don’t have time to be sick.” I don’t really remember her getting sick. And, I believe I took that inside myself. I hear myself saying the same thing, and I am rarely ever sick. In fact, in some circumstances, I clearly remember deciding that I would release an illness, and not only did it release, it has been gone ever since.
Our mind and body are connected. Studies actually show that our mind/body cannot distinguish between what our brain uses to experience reality and the imagery our brain conjures up while imagining reality. Our mind/body react to the real and the imaginal! Each one of us possesses the ability on some level to influence our health and control our physical form in ways that are truly amazing! What we imagine, what we meditate on, what we believe and think and speak, all have an impact on our body, its ability to perform, and our health. So, if we can imagine it and see it so, we can heal. We can learn and perform. We can create.
Here’s to Health! Here’s to our “magical” minds and bodies! I hope you ponder these ideas and that you will join me and my co-hosts on Quantum Leap Book Club on Law of Attraction Radio Network to explore these ideas and even more. https://www.loaradionetwork.com/quantum-leap.
